Yes, it's really hot.  On the way back from the grocery store the temperature readout in the car said 102.  At home, the thermometer on the porch read 100 as does the one here in the kitchen.  The indoor/outdoor one that goes out a window in the den read 107.  Officially for our zip code, it is103

i never lived with A/C till i moved to MD. i remember times in NJ where we spent whole days in the pool cause it was too hot not to. those were the nights my mom made waffles with ice cream cause it was too hot to cook anything.

The only time I've lived with AC was the three years I had an apartment before we were married and bought this house. I've had people offer us window units, but then you've blocked a window and the house is big enough that it would take at least four.
As of now, the temperature has dropped to about 93, but the heat index is still 108. We've gone through a lot of water and icees (the long skinny ones) today!
My son just asked what the low was supposed to be tonight - 85.
We have been asking ourselves why we haven't moved to WV where my family is - right now it's 79 degrees!
