The Year We Disappeared made the Tayshas Reading List for 2010! I heard we were in the final running, and am thrilled we made the list. Thank you, Texas librarians.

We are selling our house. This is good news in that we will now have more room for our growing family. And I will no longer have to share one bathroom with two boys. And we’ll have a proper driveway and a big garage. And a big family room where the guys can play Wii and get crazy. This is all good. There is only one downside. The Teen Read Week event at Los Feliz library yesterday was a blast. As writers, I think we all spend a lot of time alone with our computers, or staring at a wall (not me, of course!). Sorry I've been MIA from this blog, not much to report as I'm working on my new, research-heavy novel and enjoying summer. Was fortunate enough to attend one SCBWI cocktail party last night and saw lots of literary types, agents and talent alike. Drinks were drunk and tasty desserts were eaten.
