A friend writes…. The Year We Disappeared is in the Frommers 2009 Guide to Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard as a great beach read to pick up while you are on vacation there. I think I can post this cover for the UK edition of The Year We Disappeared now (since you can find it online). I really like it, the scrapbook look and feel is just perfect. A couple of people have pointed out that the shore in the image is not very “Cape Cod” but I don’t really see how anyone in the UK will notice/care. I vote thumbs up.

The event at Skylight Books went swimmingly-thanks to Miss Cecil and the panel of YA writers she put together. The questions were all thoughtful and interesting, and answers were enlightening. Went to the "Kids Heart Authors" event at our local indie this morning (Skylight Books in Los Feliz). And when we got home, there were tons of emails in my inbox saying "Congrats!" and whatnot.
