Irish went to the grocery store a while ago to pick up some deli stuff for lunch and brought back no sugar added Klondike Bars. I can sing the jingle ("What would you dooo-ooo-ooo for a Klondike Bar?") but I don't think I've ever had one. It's good, like any other similar ice cream bard (or Dilly Bar - yum!) but how are you supposed to eat it with

I'm just trying to catch up. The tulips looks so lovely. And I think your Mom was right, 158 candles would have been amazing!

How sad about your friend - I hope it is treatable, and about the lady at church. All those funerals must have been tough on the pastor - were they covid-related ones?

I don't think they were. One young woman collapsed at work one day and ended up in the hospital with organ failure (liver and/or kidney - I'm not entirely clear). She died, I believe, within a two weeks. Another was a 91 years old man who'd had a stroke and lived for a short while - maybe a week. Another was an 80 year old woman with cancer. (A woman who is just a few days older than my mom.) The others were similar.

I saw my friend on Sunday and she said they ran more tests after they removed the tumor from her colon - apparently it was very big and she actually ended up in emergency surgery - and found the cancer had not spread and her tumor markers went down so much that she doesn't need chemo, just monitoring. It's amazing and I'm so thankful - but not as much as she is, I'm sure!
