I really dont understand why this would

1) Make a good show.

2) Convert people to Christianity.

I have no idea. The host is one of the top "christian comedians" in the vein of "Christian Rock" and other various commercial industries that have popped up in the last 20 years or so. It really kind of blows my mind.

The Prank 3:16 DVD was born of Rich's love of practical jokes plus the opportunity to do something unique within the Christian marketplace.

I think we've hit upon the heart of the matter: "the Christian marketplace" - it's not an expression of deep conviction any more, it's just another venue to sell crap.
