I replaced my old broken machine with a lovely, shiny notebook with a 17" screen. Moreover, the connection appears not as dead as I erstwhile thought. So, for the nonce, I'm back in the world of webs and nets.

I hate Vista. Hurry up with Windows 7!

I actually haven't had a beef with Vista so far.

Generally speaking, Vista provides a satisfactory OS. The problem with it is that it's hungry for memory, requiring at least a gigabyte and realistically two for anything beyond normal surfing. Microsoft rushed it out to compete with Mac's OSX, but it'll be fixed with the next version of Windows. At least, I hope so!
