Old enough to choose, old enough to booze?

Today, I heard that there were rumblings across the pond about reducing the drinking age to 18. I will watch this develop with keen interest. Especially when so many areas are "dry" and having fun is outlawed in many central states. Frankly, I can't imagine not being able to nip down to the bar of an evening when I was at college. undoubtedly - I used to hate how I felt denoted when I went there and couldn't even go to a regular karaoke bar!!

Denoted? Hm. I didn't go until I was 21 anyway, so it was never an issue. However, I gather that American students in the UK have a whale of a time!

Ironic that the yanks are looking to lower the age when it looks more and more like we are going to raise it.

I can see off-sales going entirely within the next 2 decades, there are rumblings of it already if you know where to look.
