In one of my courses last Spring we spent a lot of time talking about the eruption and we visited the mountain as well. intense!

I wish I remembered more but I was 5. I don't remember much more than what I posted here. It was pretty crazy though. I remember my dad having to hose all the ash off the cars parked outside our house while he was wearing a particle mask on his face.

Interestingly, the first major news event I clearly remember was the shooting of a president, though in this case it was Kennedy and he didn't make it.
