Had my first _challenging_ student this weekend. Trouble started on exercise 3 where students straddle walk from small cone to small cone, stopping at each. She did one side on the range just fine but on my side she started heading off the range. I yelled at her to get back next to the small cones and she went even further out. This last weekend was our third attempt at completing a two day motorcycle trip. So for the last several weeks we've had many guests over at our house. The majority of them have been wonderfully pleasent to have around and then happy to leave when it is time to go.

Did my first team Oregon motorcycle class this weekend. Had a decent (if intimidating) mentor. Once I learned how to deal with him we got along fine though. I ended up passing. Have another class this weekend. If I pass again then I go on to the next step.

Just scheduled three team Oregon weekends, all in August.

I was hoping to watch and learn from mac this weekend but I'll be out on the range myself. Eeeeep. Time to study my cards.

So what.. 7? 8? months after I jump through the first set of hoops I am finally scheduled for the Team Oregon Instructor Prep class.  Of course it was the weekend that Mac and I had scheduled for a two day moto trip with friends.  Oh well...looks like we are going to postpone our trip another 3 weeks or so, not sure when the next IP class will be ( Read more... )
