(Early morning lurking...) This is the most hilarious thing I've ever read. As a woman compelled by nature to be sweet-smelling and lovely at all times, it is refreshing to hear of another who abhores the process just about as much as I do. I wonder if it makes a difference if a professional does the job as opposed to ourselves? I have yet to get spa treatments, etc., but I am thinking that might be a different thing altogether. All that shaving and sloughing makes a girl tired. :o)
Hah! I'm glad to hear someone else appreciates the many difficulties of showering and keeping squeaky clean. I suspect the spa will hold no excitement for me either, because the treatmeant I find most fascinating is the mud bath (go figure).
Generally speaking, I know I love someone when I like them all the more for their faults, and when they are noticeably happier when they see that I'm ready to forgive those faults. And when they see that I don't punish them for their confessions, they're that much more likely to tell me the truth in the future.
So I was a bit miffed when, after your introduction, you 'confessed' to some seriously lame and easily forgivable 'shortcomings.' I mean, seriously. Only freakazoids who have never actually had to be dirty like showers for the sake of showers upon showers. Everyone I know hates long, rambling voicemail. Every guy I know, or at least all of us with some Italian blood, think it's ultra sexy for a girl to get mad and throw things. Preferrably plates that shatter all over the place.
Until you confess to some stuff that someone might plausibly not forgive, we're never going to be able to separate the men from the boys among your LJ readers.
OOOooooo....shattering plates....that would be absolutely lovely.
Alright. You know I love a challenge. I'll dig deep and, while I can't think of anything at the moment, I'll come back with some more dangerous confessions. :-)
Oh, my dear, dear Elizabeth. Just happened to wander over to your blog to see what was going on, and, on this day, which has been a seriously crappy one, you've put a big smile on my face.
:)
The joy of knowing that I'm not the only one who hates the showering process! Though, for me, it's the being damp that I hate, and the getting un-damp process of drying my hair. Pu.

Roooops! Forgot to sign in before posting that comment, which as a result has an air of creepiness to it. Just an old east-coast ghost - but at least I'm a known one. :)

Hah....it's a relief to know I'm not being stalked (though I could probably ward that off with a few confessions like this...who wants to stalk a stinky girl?)
I hope your day gets better. We'll have to catch up soon!
