That looks like similar active stuff to Oxy-clean here, which is what I'm thinking about procuring... I'll have to try it. (and if it turns out to not be the same, I'll have to grab some Vanish next time I'm in the UK!)

Ah, very good. I've tried rinsing it before, and that helps a lot (if I remember to do so soon-ish), but haven't tried boiling water. :-) Thanks!

Don't rinse in cold water though. That can set fruit stains. Boiling water, with as much force as you can (hold the teapot higher in the air), on any fruit stains (wine, tomato sauce, strawberries...) will get them out. Pour water until the stain is gone. It's the most eco-friendly, easy stain removal method I've ever used.

Of course, it was my mother who taught it to me. ;-)
