100% agreed with you. It was one thing when reliable contraception wasn't available, but now? There's just no excuse. I'm not anti-children, am trying to have one myself, but I'm talking one. Maybe two at most; right now I may be lucky to have one.
On the other hand, if we think about it positively, they're allowing eight couples who are childfree-by-choice to remain so, and they appear to be working on their ninth. Very public spirited, like.
Mind you, I *bet* that woman is looking forward to the menopause with a passion which verges on holy.
Um, no. I'm sorry, that logic does not work for me. How does this family excuse me and others from wanting to remain childless? I don't need an excuse for that. Not everyone is obligated to procreate, thank merlin.
I get the funny feeling that she'd like to keep having babies until she croaked, but that's just my take.
*g* Yeah, I know... that's why I mentioned it. I've known Meg for more than 5 years and she just wouldn't mean that seriously, but I could see that I could easily come across so, and I wouldn't want that misunderstanding! (So hopefully she'll look and see my reply to you...)
Cel has informed me that I probably read your tone and intent wrong and you were being ironic in your post. I can totally see that now, and I'm sorry I took it the other way, but not knowing a person can do that. :)
