Hard to read because they're so long and boring, haha?

Joking aside, I think I know what you mean. I found this quite difficult to write, and it is only because a lot of it is past that I have enough emotional distance to put it down. But it seems to me there is little documentation of these stories 'out there' and wonder if enough of us wrote them down in public forums where they could be read en masse that somehow a change could be effected in this economic reality. But perhaps that is wishful thinking.

In the time that you were not teaching what kinds of things did you do for employment? Do you have any tips?

You're certainly welcome to try. Personally, I know I wanted to strangle her :-).

Unfortunately it seems that recruiters are not the brightest crayons in the box. I often think ruefully about how I could probably do a better job than most of them are doing, but no one will hire me for it because I don't have the experience--haha!

Oh, E! I'm so glad to hear about what had been going on for you, but so sad to hear how bad it has been. Of course I know the story is not caught up to now yet and I'm hoping that things are better for you in the present. I'm waiting eagerly for the next installment. <3
