The rest of this post is in Tagalog-English. But mostly Tagalog. Just posting the cut sections of my latest Philippine romance novella, Pasaway Kong Puso.
Hello (what's your name? Ok lang kahit secret pa... ^-^)! I'm sorry it took me this long to reply.
I'm not sure if the payment is the same for all manuscripts by new authors, but in my case 'yung unang writer's check ko eh Php 4000. May 10% withholding, so ang net eh Php 3600.
If you received the e-mail that your manuscript has been approved, it usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks before you're e-mailed that your writer's check is ready for pick-up at the Bookware Offices (Rizalina Annex 3rd floor, Unit 301, within walking distance from Quezon Ave. MRT). I'd suggest that you e-mail or call the Editorial Staff again to follow up re payment for your manuscript (and signing the publishing contract). State your name, your desired pen name (provide 3 para makapamili if you haven't already), & the title of your submitted work.

I'm a newbie writer. Just had an approved story last march 30. I'm just wondering how much bookware pays newbies like me? I'm kind of curious.
And does it usually take this long for a check to be ready? It's been almost two months since I received the news.
Hope you'll be able to answer my concerns.
