Good news!
Well, things have been good the last few weeks! We were on vacation the week of the 4th, and I was positive that I was pregnant by tuesday that week (only 1 week after the transfer). And we're good!
I had 2 embryos put in today! They were 2 "perfect" embryos, growing just as they should at 3 days, and everything else went textbook! We'll see how they take!! Now I'm on bedrest until later tomorrow afternoon. I can't even go up and down the stairs- nathan has to come home over lunch so I can eat something ( Read more... ) -

Of the 10 eggs, only 3 were mature. But since we had to use the ICSI (inject sperm DNA directly into the egg), we managed to get 5 embryos! I'll take half. I do expect a few to stop growing in the next day or so, and have a transfer on tuesday. I really hope this works!! I'm not sure I'm strong enough to do this again. -

The Egg Retrieval this morning went fine! I went to sleep, and woke up about 20 minutes later after it was all over. They got 10 eggs, which is an OK number. I was hoping for closer to 20 with so many follicles, but hey- I'll take what I got! I'll find out tomorrow how the little guys fertilized ( Read more... ) -

Rachel comes up tonight, and tomorrow morning, Nathan and I head to the clinic for my egg retrieval. I'm kind of nervous but am confident that it will be fine. I'm really excited to see how everything worked so far, and tomorrow morning we'll also know how many eggs they got.

For our birthday's this year, we decided to splurge on a joint gift. We've been working on it for a week, checking the stores, and finally started stalking the one near us. June already?!

not so bad!
I started my IVF injections yesterday, and so far, they aren't too bad. A little uncomfortable, yes. And definitely wierd to jab a needle into my stomach, but other than that, it's not bad. It's nice to doing something, and we'll just see what happens. -
