I love hedgepigs! They're so adorable. Firmly on my list of pets I would like to keep - you know, sometime in the future when I'm not gone 3.5-4 days a week for 6-9 months out of the year.

(This is the same logic that keeps me from getting a puppy. *sigh* But I will not get an animal of any sort until I know I will able to be home to give it the attention it needs.)

I owned two hedgehogs. Don't get an albino, they're more aggressive. Mine bit me.
Make sure you play with them alot, because if they're left alone they aren't comfortable with people, and then they puff up all the time when you touch them, and that's not fun.

kipi kipod (kipi the hedgehog/porcupine) is the lead guy-in-an-animal-suit on rechov sumsum (israeli sesame street). he's kind of the low-budget big bird.
