I know that I've realized in the past that we never really saw Logan's immediate reaction to the bus crash, but somehow I had forgotten it. What an omission to make! And I really like that you had him react to Amber. Again, that's a good insight that he would have sympathy for Jessie Doyle due to his own history.

Love Wallace psychoanalyzing Duncan, who always stands idly by. How long did it take him again to show some emotion about Meg's condition? 4, 5 episodes, right?

Also, you know, everyone's reactions to the bus crash were pretty muted. Everyone seemed far more upset a year after Lilly's death than they were right after the crash (which should have hit home a lot harder for your average student, and there should have been more connections between the victims and the student body).

Is that a little reference to the great fic "When the Cuddling..." where the security code plays an important part?

I like that Veronica's idea of a romantic thing to say after sex is, "You're sweaty."

Great job, not too sweet, not too tart.

I meant in the show everyone's reactions were muted, not in your fic.

No, it's sort of in reference to "Cheaty" when V just storms into L's home, when we know from s1 that he has a big security gate. Of course he would have given her the code when they were dating, but I thought it was interesting that he hadn't changed it after they broke up.

The whole Duncan/Veronica dynamic in the beginning of s2 just pissed me off so much. He was so dismissive of her feelings, and then she freaking apologized to him? Grr. And the lying about Meg's pregnancy should have been an unforgivable offense, and yet she somehow forgave him for that too. Argh. So having her dump him in place of the apology scene was catharsis for me. :)

I have no idea why the kids have the names they do, but this story was freaking AWESOME.

I always thought Duncan underreacted consistently (yeah, I know he was on meds, whatever) but his reaction at seeing Veronica alive at the crash was so blase. Logan's reaction was exactly what I would have expected from him in your fic -- thought it was very sweet and IC for him.

LOVED that this was a story V was telling her daughter. Future fics make me happy! :)

tsfsydpipjordan got the answer about the boys' names, below...

his reaction at seeing Veronica alive at the crash was so blase

God, I know--I hated that. That was when I really developed the Duncan hate. Logan's a more emotive character, obviously, but his reaction seemed more "normal" given the circumstances.

And I'm glad you liked the flash forward--I wanted to show that things worked out for them, beyond the promises of a couple of post-coital teenagers. :)

Duncan was just spot on. A guy like that would drive me crazy, always avoiding issues and never have to deal with any thing real. Glad Wallace pointed that out and even more glad Veronica woke up ( ... )

The first two eps of s2 were the real start of my hate for Duncan--Veronica was so not herself around him, allowing him to dismiss her feelings and lie to her, and forgiving him every time! Gah. That's why I had her break up with him at that point--because in the canon ep, that was when she actually apologized to him even though he was being the ass. God forbid she be upset about 10 people dying. Shut up, Duncan. :P In Drivers Ed, I really thought her epiphany was going to be about Logan and I was horrified when she showed up at Duncan's door. So I wrote it my way. :)

I'm glad you liked the daughter--I liked the idea that she's more like Logan than Veronica.

Logan not wanting to admit he’s getting older was very funny.

Heh--I sorta borrowed that from my own dad. He couldn't admit he was slowing down until my brother nearly crushed him by accident! :)

Thanks so much for saying such nice things--I really appreciate you taking the time to read my stories and comment on them!

Okay... as far as I'm concerned, this is officially canon. The end.

j/k! But really, I loved this so much and part of me really wished it was canon. I'm really not sure which I love more, though - the season two twist or the future LoVe family part. I love the relationship that Veronica has with her daughter and I love that she told her about her and Logan. It was all so perfect, just the way I think a happy future LoVe family would be.

And of course I loved the scene at the bus crash. Logan not being able to hide his worry and the intense stares that everyone probably noticed. The interaction between Wallace and Veronica was great, too - how he told her what was what and made her see Duncan like she should have. Veronica dumping Duncan was just the way it should have played out. You really wrote it perfectly.

“You’ve done this part before,” she teased. “Did you already forget?”

“Sorry, I’m just kind of nervous,” he said with a small chuckle.

“I thought that was my line,” she replied with a smile, running her fingers ( ... )

Well, I never in a million year would have guessed that ; ) She's good!

I still don't know about the girl. The only thing I associate with the name Elizabeth is my sister and Pride and Prejudice. Of course, P & P does have lots of parallels to LoVe....

I always love reading your fanfiction. However I really loved this one. So great how you reunited Logan and Veronica. In addition the scene with the kids was too cute. As for the kids, I am a little stumped as to why they named their daughter Lizzie. However the boys names reminded me of Logan's favorite movie "Easy Rider". I haven't seen it but weren't two of the actors in it Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda. Well there are my thoughts. I look forward to reading more of your writing.

You win bragging rights! The sons are named after Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper of "Easy Rider." :) And that might help someone guess about the daughter...

Thank you so much for your nice comments!
