I agree with you. I don't like to discuss the war or politics in general, because it usually opens a can of worms, but personally, if feels nice to see someone who has the same feelings I do. I wish some of these celebrities would realize that our men and women are dying overseas fighting for them to keep the right to say such terrible things. I believe it was Patrick Henry who said,"I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will die to protect your right to say it." That's what our Armed Services are doing. I wish people would realize that.

That said, there are some celebrities who are educating themselves about current events and still oppose the war - and while I don't agree with them, I applaud them for being intelligent about it. Ben Affleck comes to mind. Who would've thought he was intelligent? *L*

Now Rosie O'Donnell... she needs to shut up. And on that note, that's what I'm going to do now ;)

I don't mind discussing war or politics but most times it gets personal..so I don't say that much.

And I don't mind celebrities who are against the war or Bush or whatever..as long it's their own reasons. I personally don't think they should make statements wihtout getting all the facts straight.

And with Rosie, I wasn't all that surprised that she got released from "The View" early. And I happened to like Rosie..at least at one point I did, when she had her own show..but she has changed since then.

Anywho...welcome to my journal! Sorry the first post you read had to be such a long post about my feelings! I promise to post happy things as well! : )

Aw, sweetie, I really hope you don't decide to disappear because I would miss you for one. I don't talk about war and politics much because I don't feel qualified to discuss them but I certainly hope I can respect other people's opinions. I don't like war and I don't think we (as in the UK) should be there but that's another story.

It's a hard thing but I guess this person wasn't a real friend after all and you shouldn't let their actions stop you from saying what you want to say. After all that's the whole point of having a blog!

*hugs* I only thought about quitting very briefly..but dismissed it because I would miss you all too much! I care about everyone on my list and I think I would be a bit depressed if I forgot about you all!

The only concerns i have about posting my opinions on anything is that is the fear that I will lose friends because of how I think. I know that's kinda stupid thinking, but I don't want to be perceived as something I am not because I can't express the way I feel..sometimes my words are kinda jumbled. I really don;t have close friends. I don't have a whole bunch of people on my list..just a small group, which works for me , cause I get to know you all better.
I think I might do Friends Only journal..I just have to find the right banner to use.

I'm sorry you have been feeling lonely. Remember that this is YOUR journal. No one makes the rules except you. No one should make you feel bad for your beliefs. You would not unfriend someone for their beliefs and they shouldn't do that to you.

I'm so happy that your dad is doing better. What type of lymphoma does he have? What kind of treatment (chemo, radiation)?

::prayers & hugs::

*hugs* Thanks..I do feel better since I posted what I was really feeling..and it makes a difference that I know I have freinds who care about me as well.

My dad had the Non-hodgekins type "Diffuse large B cell" agressive in Stage 3. He is on the 8 sessions of chemo every three weeks with a scan the day before to compare from the previous scan. Right now I think he just got done with his 6th session. So far all the doctors are happy with his progress and hopefully his nodes won't get bigger in the next 5 years.

Hey Colleen,
I had the same thing happen to me. I know how it feels. Don't take it to personally. There are many people that would love to be your friend. Like me. I will talk to you soon.
Come over and talk when you feel like this. I would love to talk. I am home after the kids go to bed sun-wed.
Talk to you soon.
Christy
