I love Mary because I truly wanted to hate her and I couldn't. That's one of the ten million reasons she's awesome.

the depth of her compassion astounds me, and it astounds me that no one knows just how deeply loyal she is to the people she chooses to welcome into her heart. she is such a product of her time, but is so much richer and complex than a mere caricature of the bored, spoiled daughter with a permanent expression of disdain on her face. i can't even express it. she is unquestionably the queen of downton!

She *could* be a bitch, but she isn't. She takes her Mentor role seriously. Manages but doesn't micro-manage. Has a dog named Justice. She is unapologetically single. Had an adorable crush on a Right-Wing NRA Ballistics guy.

MY FAVORITE (or tied, anyway :D)!!!!!!!

Gah, Aeryn had one of THE best character arcs I've ever seen on US television. To watch her in the pilot and then in any of those final episodes is just INCREDIBLE! Especially since she managed to grow and develop as a character without losing the person she had always been.

Aeryn Sun is more badass than you = FACT OF LIFE!

YES YES YES. Her character arc is by far the closest thing I've seen to flawless character development. And like you said, the most perfect part of it is that she grew and developed as a person but never ~changed the fundamental parts of herself. I don't think I will ever love a character quite the way I love her.

JULIET, MY LOVE!!!

Another woman with a FANTASTIC character arc. I LOVE that she found her inner strength and badassness without losing the compassion and care for others that made her who she was.

The Incident = Still not over it, tbh.
