I'm trying to get reacquainted with LJ so popping in to say hi and see who's here! Life has been quite challenging of late with my husband's illness but I am working at getting back into fandom stuff, as much for my own sanity as well as to rejoin with old friends. I lost a good friend and wonderful co-worker this past week and my heart is filled with grief. He was an awesome nurse and a kind, gentle spirit who will be forever missed at SMC. Rest in peace, John. Your presence made the ER a much brighter place to work for this girl. God bless you and your sweet family. Until we meet again....

Two babies. One day apart. It just isn't fair. My Virginia Lee died in my arms this afternoon, again at the vet's. She was ill with cancer, and I know it was her time and I did the right thing because she was in so much pain, but dear God I am almost out of tears so please, no more for awhile, ok? Rest in Peace, Ginny Lee. I love you.

We brought our new little one home on Tuesday and she is settling in just fine. She is a fur-ball of pure energy and a beautiful "child"! Her name is Gracie and she is a 10 week old Japanese Chin (they used to be called a Japanese Spaniel) and are related to Pekingese. She will weigh around 7 lbs when full grown.
