If tonight's debate was any indication of things to come...

...we're totally screwed.

We've been screwed for quite a while now; this is old news.

Old news it may be, but no less true. It just becomes even more glaringly obvious the longer it goes.

If Obama gets elected and my taxes go up, and my medical gets changed...I will SO NOT be a happy camper. I'm poor as it is and I dont want to wait in line for 5 million years to see a doctor. - Meggie

We're only temporarily screwed. The way I see it is this: Bush and his band of merry men took all of our money, spent it on war-mongering (which we all knew would happen anyway if he was elected) and bad choices (again, we all knew it would go that way to begin with). Whomever the next president is, he (Obama) will NOT spend the first year in office on vacation (like Bush did). Instead, his first year will be spent cleaning up the debt situation and pulling a Scott Bakula (putting right what once went wrong).

I'm still flabbergasted that Bush managed to win the last two elections. (I am certain he cheated the first time and scared everyone into compliance the second.) Things usually get worse before they get better, and it can't get much worse. :p
