I need help!

Dec 15, 2009 19:46

We are having a staff Christmas party and we are supposed to bring gag gifts. I'm completely blank so I'm asking my wonderful LJ friends to help me out.

In other news I finally got a permanent position at the library. I went from getting laid off to getting a job. *phew*

Hell, 19, it's not like Nicky is one of my co-workers.....I would have a use for duct tape then.

Yayyyy!! Congratulations!

You work in a library so what about those tiny little joke books, you know, the 'Best Blonde Jokes', '...Husband', '...Wife', '...Dog'...etc...etc...

That might work. Somebody got me a douchebag book for my birthday and it totally cracked me up.

This site

http://awfullibrarybooks.wordpress.com/

lists the worst books ever. I believe it's put together by a couple of librarians. If you could track down one or two of these stinkers or something like it, that would count as a good gag gift.

A huge congrats on the new permanent position!

I've seen books that are real bad on our shelves too. LOLOL I've often wondered how some of these books ever made it to print. I guess somebody must like them.

I'm presuming that it's for the library staff, so my suggestions are the daily newspaper OR oversized glasses OR large oversized pens/pencils OR plastic bugs. If you want something more practical, wrap up a box of brownie or cake mix.

CONGRATS on the permanent position, that's really wonderful news. Here's a botle of bubbly and some confetti for your celebration!

Yeah, it's a party for library staff. I like the glasses idea. I was also thinking of a kids game like tiddly winks, break the ice, or that one where you put the bug together.
