The first time I had a Dick's hamburger on Broadway in Seattle back in 92 something changed. It set the bar so high and with such simplicity that it is the bench mark for every hamburger I have ordered since. I've tried many times to replicate this magnificent sandwich in my own kitchen and have never been able to come close.
