Hey, choir in the evening. I'm shocked, really I am. Got to bell choir late again. I'm regressing. I'll let you all know when I go so far as to need diapers again. No doubt it's only a few months off.

Yes, I bowled today. My partner didn't show - he's got a meeting every other week at the wednesday noon time, so he'll be in and out. Did better than usual, but not by much. Insert usual problems with consistency.

For whatever reason, it now takes me about half again as long to get to work as it does to get home. And no, it's not biased by the direction I'm going. I've no idea when it shifted (used to be the reverse). Played handbells in church alongside the youth (teen) choir. It went ok. They sing better than we did when I was in that group. Who knows whether it's talent or better directing. Or both. Susan seems to've put all of the folks who can keep a steady tempo onto one side of the choir, down in the bass bells. Not sure if it was intentional or not. I ( Read more... )

Went to a St. Patrick's day dinner in the evening with some of Katy/Sally's family at their church. My sister, if she knew of it, would make some snide comment about not having any closure. In the evening, after work and being home for a bit, went out to a chain grill/bar in Germantown with a bunch of people from work. I think the final count was ten people. One of the guys in the choir brought along a friend this evening. A damn good tenor, excellent pitch, breath control, sight-reading ability. I can now retire and go back to singing my preferred voice part. And start insulting the girly ways of tenors again.

After work, went out with a couple fellows, including manager Bruce, to a local irish bar/restaurant. Drank green beer. The beer was pretty poor (colored Bud, eh). The conversation and people were reasonable. I was planning on going back to work after, but it got late. The yearly church drama was put on this morning. Once for Sunday school, once for the church service. It went well, I think, the most well done one we've done in a number of years.
