Shortly before my birthday, my brother calls and tells us that they found a mass in his thigh bone and they're going to run some tests. The day after my birthday, he calls and tell us that he's been told it's cancer, but that he can't get into a specialist until he gets a referral and that's about 3 weeks out b/c the specialist is 'busy'.  Scott ( Read more... )

I never thought that'd happen. Can't really put into words why it happened, but it happened.

Have missed a lot, haven't been able to catch up yet since time is considerably limited.

Needless to say...it's a sad thing, but so much has happened that taking the time out to focus on what needed to be focused on...eh, I think it's probably done some good.

What's been making me anti-social lately?

1) Sent resume in last week to a great company.  Didn't hear from them (despite knowing that other applicants heard from them w/i hours of receipt of resumes).  Got balloons and hats for pity party and phone rings. It's them. Can I come in Monday morning @ 8am for an interview? Yes.

Saw The Bourne Ultimatum tonight. YUMYUMYUM.  Normally, I'm not a Matt Damon fan.  Tonight, though, I wanted to *do* "Jason Bourne" so badly, I feel sorry for the theater seat.

While looking for an age-appropriate X-Box game for Natalie (we found one, amazingly), I came across CSI and Myst II for X-Box.  Couldn't resist, had to buy.  I played CSI for 6 straight hours, only stopping when I realized it was already 4:30am and I had to be somewhere, rested, by 9am.

The site owner let me know that they're going to be featuring some gourmet dog treats on the site and they could list mine on there.  How NIFTY would that be?  Can you IMAGINE how much money I could raise for Kyla's surgeries???  And, how many loverly critters out there would be enjoying my gourmet, all natural and actually quite tasty treats?
