Ugh, this day needs to end. First, the VA Tech shootings in the morning, and in the afternoon the Grinnell Country Club opened their pool for the season, and found a body which may be a Grinnell student who disappeared in September :-( :-( :-(

Things I learned in school (aka, Wikipedia) today: tying one's necktie with a Windsor knot is the sign of a cad, according to James Bond. And he would know.

Two of my aunties may be coming down to visit me/go to the Pella Tulip Festival in May! I mean, not like tulips are cool, but still, yay!

I've figured out why I hate living on my floor so much, namely because it's like living in a porn store: bad, vaguely thudding music coming out of random locations; funny smells (both legal and illegal) wafting down the hall pretty much 24/7; and a population of shady guys who can't get any. Well, I am now a few thousand dollars poorer, and one '99 Honda Civic richer. Woot. Nyargh...So, I've had this one gray hair since freshman year of high school. I've found two more of the little bastards in the last week. Guess I know which set of genes I got.

However, Dinah Washington makes things a lot better--that woman could sing some damn fine jazz and blues.
