1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? 5'10" and stocky. He's quite heavy, at about 180lbs, and most of it is muscle... but not all of it. He doesn't have anywhere near "modern-ideal" type muscle definition, because 10-15 of those pounds are nothing but pudge. He's pretty cute and cuddly for a fearsome warrior capable of killing ogres in one hit.
2. How old is he? Ha. Hahahahaha. Ha. Bodily, seventeen. Mentally? Sometimes seventeen, sometimes old beyond human reckoning. Emotionally? Sometimes seventeen, sometimes old beyond human reckoning, sometimes five.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? He carries himself pretty well. When it's hero time or there is a pretty lady to impress, he stand up as straight and regal and proud as possible. When he's relaxed or not feeling well, he slouches a little bit... but his armor usually hides that.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? In a word? Poor

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Utilitarian but still suitable for royalty. He favors a particular silhouette, with lots of layers and long, belted tunics and his pants tucked into his boots. Colors that are rich, but not necessarily bright. Not all exactly the same outfit, but definite variations on a theme. But he mostly just wears his armor.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? Of course they do, he's royalty...ish. I mean, he'd wear a burlap sack if he had to, but he wouldn't be happy about it. As for comfort... if it was uncomfortable, he wouldn't choose to wear it. But he's most comfortable in his armor, not everyday clothes.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? Armor. Yeah.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Boxers. No tighty-whities here. Possibly boxer briefs. And yes, he would go
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Let's do another video this time. Great heroic entrance, or greatest heroic entrance? In case it is not immediately obvious, he is the one in the armor. It's not always that deep, though. That is his "Lord Sigmund the Liberator" voice. In normal conversation with people he's comfortable around, it's a bit higher-pitched than that, because he's not trying to sound like a manly hero instead of a pudgy teenager.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Softly, evenly, slowly. Frequently not at all. He's shy, and not very good at talking to people, so while he doesn't usually hesitate once he's started speaking, it can take him a while to actually do so.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? He speaks very formally most of the time, but there are a couple of people he loosens up around.

1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Not as smart as you'd think, to be honest. He knows a little bit about pretty much everything, but his common sense is somewhat... unique. And lacking. Most of his knowledge is of trades and crafts, not of scholarly pursuits. If he knows his history, the only reason is because he lived through most of it.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? He can think on his feet, but he's better when he's had some time. His decision-making skills are much better in battle than they are in his personal life, because for whatever reason he finds it easier to decide how to kill something than how to deliver a compliment.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Exceptionally intuitive, and ruthlessly practical. He's very much a realist. When his back is to the wall, he's not just thinking about how to save everyone, he's thinking about who he has to save, and who can be done

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? -Volsung elected not to marry Svala, which drove a wedge between them and permanently changed the strongest relationship in his life
( ... )
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. With Volsung's parents? Who knows. That information's been lost to the sands of time. With Svala? Sigmund may not be very demonstrative, but he loves her dearly. She was as close as he had to family for much of his life, and was his closest confidante - something that might be expected when Mother can read souls. That connection has suffered somewhat now that he remembers being Volsung. After all, she is Volsung's ex and Sigmund's mother, all in one. He's not sure how to relate to her.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? If Volsung had siblings, they're long dead now. Leonid could be considered a sibling of sorts, what with being Svala's son. That relationship is... antagonistic, to say the least.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? He only has one blood relative - his son, Capell. Capell means the world to Sigmund. There isn't anyone he holds dearer.
Relationships, con.chaincutterMay 12 2011, 17:33:30 UTC
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? That's a little complicated. To start with, he's largely heteroromantic. It's less a question of attraction than of societal expectations. As a royal, it was a given that he would marry and produce an heir. It's not something he ever hated or resented or rebelled against. He's quite content with the idea of a female partner

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? In a purely sexual sense, probably a 2 verging into a 3; but as I said, he's fairly heteroromantic. His actual behavior manifests as more of a 1, really.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? It is a happy bonus to having someone that he can trust deeply, and also something that he wants and enjoys. He's not very good at expressing himself verbally, so private moments like that with a lover are the best way for him to show his affection for them. A partner who is resistant or unwilling to get that involved may show a degree of incompatibility that he just can't live with. He's a very physical person, and also a very practical and realistic one. If they can't agree on something so fundamental to him, he's not going to waste either his time or theirs continuing things.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? There's no way around it, he's a breast man. He likes a little cleavage. Or a lot of cleavage.
( ... )
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? He doesn't have an official birthday, but if I was to guess based on astrology, I would say he's a Capricorn. I... am not even messing with the Chinese zodiac. That's too many years apart.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? He isn't really either, although there is still some spirituality left in him. He used to be quite religious, but he had a very real falling out with god that turned his life upside down. Now he's more than a little misotheistic. It's not something he'll be letting go of anytime soon.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? He does, in a way. When he fights, he fights for a cause, and he fights with nothing more than his own power. He believes that it is wrong to save someone merely because you know them, when the time and effort spent could have saved ten

1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Irrelevant in Luceti, but he is accustomed to being, if not royalty, then at least the ward of royalty. That's enough to keep them stocked up for months Actually.... that's probably why the budget gets woolly.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? Royalty, ward of royalty, living legend and celebrated hero. Conversely, secretly a member of the lowest social caste and existing outside the worldwide religion, both things that could easily get him killed. The loftiest and lowest, all at once.
