Yet another one of my short reviews, although this one is because I only got to watch ten minutes of the show.( Cut for spoilers, swearing and ranting )

While we're going for continuity... Can I just point out how little sense the Murderous Breakfast thing was? He walked in and Arthur has to look to his left to see Merlin because he's facing the rest of the room... we see the shot from in the room, Arthur is on the opposite side of the table facing the fireplace/wall, turned to his right to look at Merlin... ughhh what?

I had to watch it several times, laugh for about a minute, cry and laugh for the next few minutes, and then rewatch the whole thing so I knew what had happened before I could continue....

he was hit by a morning star, not a sword so really, there would be almost no blood, but most likely internal bleeding, possibly shattered bones and definitely severe pain. i think they get away with how it was acted/written quite well

i've got nothing on your second point though. s'very true.

A comment to your second point: It was a little frustrating that Merlin didn't do anything while Morgana put that.. thing (I've forgotten it's name) in his neck. But I think it was because he didn't want Morgana to know that he's a wizard. I mean, wouldn't that make Morgana want to kill Merlin? And even if Merlin would've escaped at that moment, then Morgana would know to be on guard with Merlin. Whereas now, Morgana thinks Merlin as just a servant, which gives him the advantage.
And as for Merlin killing Morgana.. this is again just my opinion, but I think that, when Merlin looks at Morgana, he doesn't see an evil sorcerer, but the person (and dare I say friend) she used to be in s1 and beginning of s2. And while Merlin fights against her to protect Arthur and Camelot, I don't think he willing to kill her, not if he can avoid it. I would go as far, as to say that Merlin might still have some (foolish) hopes, that Morgana would come to her senses someday.

Happy birthday, first and foremost!

I can't answer anything about Merlin's wound I'm afraid. Camelot is filled with medical mysterys, the main one being why Arthur has been knocked unconcious at least once a week, yet still retains the function of speech.

I think he didn't kill or even try and kill Morgana because he ultimately still feels giult from trying to kill her before. He was reluctant to do it until right at the end, when he frankly got a bit pissed off with her. He couldn't just injure her to get away when he captured him and tied him up, because he didn't want to reveal his magic to her for risk she'd tell Arthur.

I do like the idea of little Aithusa flapping in to rescue him though!

I was frustrated as well that Merlin didn't use magic to defend himself against Morganna but I agree with the comments above about the reasons why he did it ( ... )
