I don't usually get upset over political issues, but one recently has actually bugged me quite a bit. And, of all things, its abortion rights. I think abortion rights are important, but I've never been emotionally connected to the issue, I'm Pro-Choice in most things, including whether I am ready to be a parent.

Well-ranted! The previous administration wanted to separate terrorism from criminality, yet for some reason we haven't called pro-life violence terrorism.

My feminist group at college in Florida coordinated volunteers for escort of doctors and patients to and from clinics. The rate of physical assault is low, but the rate of threats or verbal assault was high enough that the people I knew all experienced it.

The fact that we're fighting a war for oil is bad enough, the fact that it's a religious one is worse. While we bomb "religious radicals" overseas, our own homegrown religious radicals bomb our soil in the name of Jesus and no one seems to draw a comparison.

If you really want to get cynical, look up Loose Change, and Zeitgeist on Youtube--the full versions are easy to find. A little foil-helmet, but so, so refreshing.
