On Monday night I got a call from Keith here in Wellington telling me the news about Skoota.  I never meet the guy properly, however like anyone who was ever as a gig with him I could not help but notice him and appreciate his larger than life personality.

Very good news.

Rachel is coming back from the U.K. this Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was going to go to university in Sheffield for one year.  However she got back to Essex, experiencing chav overload amongst other things, she soon decided she really wanted to be back in NZ.  Massey run the same course in public health admin so she will be doing it ( Read more... )

Today was very hard.  Rachel left today for England, where she will spend the next year studying.

The last month has been amazing.  We have grown very close, learned a lot from each other and above all we feel so lucky to have met.

Have been flat out busy with work of late.  Any time I'm not working is spent with a wonderful woman I meet about 3 weeks ago. Rachel leaves for a year in  the U.K. early next week which will be very hard for the both of us.  There is so much to tell.  For now here are a couple of photos.

Date went very well.  We both dressed up, I wore my red & black corset with a nice shirt and a PVC tie which I thought would be all too much for the upper middle class that populate posh Eastbourne restaurants.  No one noticed us!  We actually wanted to shock people, you know get that attention that you normally could not be bothered with.

For many years I have wanted to have a Madmax car.  That is the yellow V8 intercepter that Max (Mel Gibson) drives at the beginning of the first Madmax (Road Warrior) movie.  Finally I'm able to afford to make the dream a reality.  On Saturday I collected a car from Matamata which will be slowly transformed over about 12 months.  The car is a 1979 ( Read more... )

I have recently been down south, working on make-overs for the various Meridian owned hydro stations.  Twizel was cold.  There was actually ice on the inside of my hotel room.  For the first 2 days at Benmore we were working in a room with no heating, a work collegue's sipper bottle of water froze solid, inside!  Could not have put up with that ( Read more... )

The espresso machine is calling. I guess it is feeling neglected. I have not had a coffee since Thursday morning last week. I thought it would be a good idea to go without for at least a week just to see if it would make any difference to the way I feel etc.
