We'll have to do something better for this one then.
[In the meantime, he scrambles to throw a bunch of his haphazardly strewn knicknacks in a box (at least Dally can be confident that his warden will never make him be terribly tidy) as he waits for Dallas to show up. He's promised the old girl a visitor, and she's excited at the prospect.]
If you think it'll affect his inmate, isn't it best to mention it to him? Express that you understand his concerns, but you're worried it might affect the way his inmate acts?
Yes, but if you're saying this to us, sir, you are getting involved, and perhaps with the wrong people. Your concerns should be expressed to him, and carefully so, rather than to us.
You do realize that these messages are exactly what he's thinking is going on? And by suggesting that we 'deal with it,' you're just giving him more reason to think it. If you have a problem with how he handles things, then take it to him directly.
Victor's his inmate and I know that he's doing the best he can with him. This just seems like you're undermining that.
I just mean that it is a situation and I don't know how to address it. And I'm concerned in doing so that I'll escalate it. I just have concerns and asked for opinions, that's all.
I admit, I'm concerned with this as well. I feel it's going to be another thing that he's going to attempt to use to accuse me of doing something wrong.
I'm sure it's something from his own world that's given him this phobia, but I'm tired of feeling attacked. I just wish I knew what to do. I offered him my personal medical files, but frankly, now I'm not at all certain he wouldn't use them against me if he had a half a chance.
Every time I talk to him, he accuses me of patronizing him, and I don't know. I've worked in a lot of hostile environments, but right now I don't feel at home in my own infirmary.
I'm starting to understand what you mean. I apparently can no longer request advice when I have a concern without being the subject of edgy suspicion.
I've seen how hostile he becomes. You're a wonderful woman, Martha. I've heard what you did for the entire planet. But he's viewing you- and us all, through tinted goggles of some sort.
I still believe you're doing right by these people. I wish there was a survey for that... Except I'm too lazy to bother with one.

Sure is nice to meet you now, though...

It's good to meet you, too! I'm hoping sometime you can tell me how you came to know each other.

Sure thing, though. Ain't like I've got anything else planned. [He's excited to see this so called ship. Truly he is.]

I'll be in my cabin. Level 2, Number 10. [He can tell! But at least it's usually impressive once you get there.]

[He's trying to keep his excitement low, almost non-existent. But it's so haaaard.] I'll be there in a few.

I suppose I could, I'm just wary of involvement, personally.

And frankly, Doctor, I'm sick of it.

I wish we could do a survey of the people you've aided.
