She pilfered candy and puked a rainbow. She stole a travel-size bar of soap and ate it, thinking it was candy, and puked sweet-smelling bubbles. Thanks, swanner. She really was an awesome dog. She was really sick toward the end, and she wasn't even my dog, but for some reason, I am embarrassingly broken up about this.

Don't be embarrassed. When animals die, it can hurt just as much as losing a person. And why shouldn't it? They are little entities with their own quirks and opinions, even if they can't talk.

Dogs can really get to your heart. Sounds like this one was loved very much. I'm sorry for your loss, and I know how sad it can be. I still look forward to seeing our old German Shepherd Brodie in heaven.
