Well this put a small crimp in the plan, Kate thought, but couldn't show any hesitation, not for a moment. She did her share of grumbling about being manhandled, hoping to buy maybe a spare second for the backup beyond the road to come up with a plan B, follow the car, something.

In honest, it was all up to hope when she was squished between the two burly security types.

"That your nightstick or are you just happy to see me?" Kate growled at one dryly, the butt of his sidearm jabbing into her ribs as they all packed in.

But now was when she needed to keep her cool the most and she did, shrugging at Dana,

"Fun? Not exactly, but you were right, bunch of saps, one sob story and they were eating out of my hand again."

Dana - smiled... In a rather disconcerting fashion. It was highly unlikely that the Sanctuary would welcome her back that easily - they were - forgivign but not enitirely stupid.

She sensed a lie and the only reason Kate would be lying now was if she had switched sides.

"Really..." Dana drawled. "You must have won them over with your crocodile tears..."

Kate hated when she did that. So creepy.

"Yeah, well having your crazy scientist freak stick a bug in my neck kind of helped with that."

"Not mine - let's be clear on that. Patterson's facility was his own private playground - if the vampire hadn't killed him, we certainly would have. Look at the mess he's made... We've got two powerful, vengeful abnormals on our hands," and a contractor to get rid of.

Of course, the only reason that Dana is telling Kate any of this is because it can't hurt to talk with a dead body...
