you know, i was thinking really hard about just this topic the other day, and i realized something. having sex before you're married makes it a lot easier for you to get hurt. even knowing that doesn't stop people from doing it. people are self-destructive.

i don't think you're a hypocrite because of the attitude you approach this with.

Knowing you were wrong doesn't make you a hypocrite.

I don't understand it either. Why have more things to worry about - like getting a disease or getting pregnant or having to remember to take a pill - when you could just easily avoid it all together?

I don't know about anyone else, but this is how it is for me. I don't want to reach 60 (married and almost dead) with regrets. I want to know that I had fun with my youth and, for me, living my life in fear of the consequences is no way to live.

I agree with you, some people have sex because they feel like they have to. Those people are very lost. But some of us are having sex because we want to. We're as safe as we can be and we take the risk. I'd rather live then waste my life trying to be safe.
