Yes, I'm still alive. My summer has settled into a pleasant routine...it's just not exciting enough to post to LJ! Or maybe I've got writer's block. But whatever is too blame, I'm still alive and well and God is still good!

We had an awesome week full of severe storms. It started Monday when a gigantic supercell passed over us.         I stayed up a bit late last night watching as severe thunderstorms swept through our area. A storm is awesomely exciting and scary all at once!       The strawberries are ripening! We just picked close to two gallons of them this morning. We're excited about them because these are the first strawberries we've ever tried to grow ourselves. The chickens love strawberry picking time, too, because they go crazy over the rotten ones. :-)

        Summertime - there's no doubt that it's here! Even though it's barely 80 degrees outside, it feels stifling hot since the humidity is high. Aw, well.... that just gives us the excuse to savor an ice cream treat. We just finished off some drumsticks (all 340 calories!) for our lunchtime treat. Yum! :-) Summer can be so much fun...

     Whew. I had a busy day yesterday. We first level students (9 of us showed up) preparred the graduation dinner for about 110 people. We were expecting more that! The person in charge of estimating the amount of supplies we needed overestimated and we ended up with a TON of leftovers.       Praise the Lord - this semester is over!!! God has been so good to me. I can't believe this marks the half-way point in my nursing studies. I've finished two semesters and only have two more to complete.  I had one final exam Monday (an easy one) and two today (one easy and one SUPER difficult).
