Finals Week
I'm studying for finals. Needless to say, I feel just like my icon. :-) If you think about me this week, please pray for me. -
Mother's Day
On this lovely sunshiny day I want to thank the Lord for the wonderful mom He has given to me. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for her. I would never have made it this far through nursing school without her prayers and love. May the Lord richly bless all the godly mothers who do so much for us! -
What a Day!!
Goodness. (Did I just sigh?) Today was quite the day here in good old MO. We awoke to thunderstorms with rain and lots of lightning. I left for school and by the time I got there, it was raining steadily. He is Risen!

Jesus is alive! No matter what we call today - Easter or Resurrection Day - we can rejoice with great gladness that our Savior has risen from the dead. What hope we have in knowing He is now at the right hand of the ( Read more... ) -

I could have written this hymn - the words seem to speak the language of my heart. Yes, living for Jesus. Isn't that all that matters? How wonderful He is!
Living for Jesus, a life that is true,
Striving to please Him in all that I do;

Last Day of 2007
I wish I could think of something profound to say seeing as this is the last day of 2007, but I can't. :-) Suffice it to say that the Lord was with me in 2007 and I know He'll be there for me in 2008. Christmas Morning
It's Christmas morning. It still awes me and nearly brings tears to my eyes to think how humble and loving our dear Savior was to give up His heavenly throne for a season to descend to earth and become one of us and eventually die on a cruel cross for us. Rainy
It's raining again. The rain is supposed to turn into snow later this afternoon. That's fine by me. I'd much rather have cheerful, fluffy snow than splattering, oftentimes cheerless, raindrops slashing at the window panes. It's a cozy day to spend indoors - especially after running errands all morning! :-)
