Hey, they could have named it after another Fleming short story (just like Octopussy and A View To A Kill) and called it The Property Of A Lady....

Seriously, I agree with you. I actually like the title, but for a Bond flick? Um...no.

Tomorrow Never Dies at least connected to the villain's newspaper operation, which was called Tomorrow....

Earlier today, while at work, I read someone else's LJ entry about the new name...and spent an hour poking fun at it with my co-worker. lol

It's a strange combination of words, let alone for a Bond movie...

Thanks for expressing what I could not - great post! :D

I think it's a great name. Maybe it would get people to look up "quantum" in wikipedia.

I actually did that! I thought I knew what the word "quantum" meant, but I couldn't figure out how it worked in that title. And I still don't. So it basically means "Tiny Indivisible Particle of Solace"?

i thought the exact same thing.

have they really already run out of snappy and/or simple names or is the writer's strike hitting deeper then any of us could have imagined? yiiiikes!

My fiance had the title pulled up on JoBlo when I came home from work today. I'm in total wedding/honeymoon planning mode, so I said "That's a pretty fucked up name for a spa."

I guess it's a pretty fucked up name for a Bond movie, too.
