Javi, I can't describe how much it means to those of us who are LGBT that you and other members of the creative community (such as John Cho) are supporting us. :-)
Seconding this. The level of support I've seen coming from the industry folks on this has been mindblowing and very, very welcome.
I know the industry can often still be unkind to LGBTs behind the scenes, as those with the purse strings bow to the will of audiences that can often be uncomfortable, at best, with gay actors, but seeing so many people standing up for what's right on this measure gives me hope that even that last anachronism may eventually fall.
second, YAY CHO! i wished that i lived in cali so i could help vote no to this. it, by far, has to be the most single un-humanitary thing one could put on a ballot. the fact that they even put it on the ballot blows my mind. i just hope that there's enough people that see that it isn't a gay or straight issue, but an equality for EVERYONE issue.
I'm not from California, not even American, so I can't vote. But this issue doesn't end in California soil; and if everyone votes No on Prop 8 (or at least a huge majority), hopefully, it spreads around the world.
I don't live in California. I live in Kansas, where I see/hear disgusting anti-gay messages everywhere. As a gay woman in Kansas, I dream of the day we are all seen as equals.
