Crazy Ideas, Take Two!

Oct 24, 2007 08:45

Well, ok, I've had a lot more than two crazy ideas in my life. But that's beside the point.

First off, let's abuse the Marquee tag a little bit.

Happy Birthday marasca!

Also, Happy Birthday to the United Nations. Just because.

Right, all that's out of the way now. On to crazy stuff.

Last year I tried this crazy thing called NaNoWriMo. Yes, some of ( Read more... )

nano, birthdays

I am occasionally a Real and Serious writer. Is it cool for me to ask to be on the filter?

Yes, you can filter in too. You're not as scary as some of my other friends. Plus you have those cute cheeks I just want to pinch! ;-)

(Face cheeks, not butt cheeks. I'm polite after all.)

And besides, KL and AL would kill you if you tried anything.

I am NEVER a serious writer. I'm barely real.

Count me in.

You and me both, mate. Not serious. Less real. Filter on!

Time to fire up the cat macros!

It's the only reason I do this!

Although still, nothing will top "Charles! Get out of my head!" for pure perfection.

Curses, all the old cat macro links from last year's story are broken now. I'll have to find some of them again.

Based on your made of "100% awesome, with a solid awesome core, deep fried in awesome oil, and covered in awesome sauce" Star Wars exchange with my b-i-l djsyrnrgy, and the fact that my wife ladylyonesse likely worships your wit more than she does mine, I too must ask to be filtered. Maybe even sieved.

Wow, I have a whole family on my f-list. That's... unexpected. ;-)

Welcome aboard! And welcome to the filter! And welcome to good wholesome Star Wars/Star Trek comedy! And... maybe some gin too. mmmmm, gin.

Go ahead and add me to your NaNoWriMo filter. I be curious.

Also, if you'd like to check out my sporadic NaNo progress (if any), friends add alpo_writing, if you haven't already. I can't recall if you're already added on that journal or not. You don't have to add alpo-writing to your filter, though, because I never read my f-list on the journal. It is for me to be seen rather than for me to see others. :op

Also, you have successfully made "Shout at the Devil" the new song stuck in my head. It was "Stand" by R.E.M. (because I sang it the other night while playing SingStar; video games rule my life).

Every time I successfully post a story bit, you have to play Guitar Hero! ;-)

You're filtered in now; and in exchange I'll cheer you on in your own way. My nano screen name is, unsurprisingly, ChaosVizier; feel free to add me as a buddy!

Guitar Hero 3 is picking an inconvenient time to arrive in stores; I want it, but it will distract from good wholesome writing action. Tough call...

Yeah, unless my girlfriend insists on it, we may have to wait until after November to get GH3. We may have to anyway, depending on finances.

Will add you to my NaNo buddies when I get home tonight. :)
