so...my varied friends, many of you know a few different aspects of who I am as a person. So, knowing who you perceive me as, if you were to wave a wand and magically manifest my perfect job/career/employment/godmode...what would I be?? (can be realistic, or far flung - i.e., an art therapist or a Time Lord are both equally acceptable replies) GO!

A government spokesperson for the right to chose gender identity, work as a sex worker, work outside gender related fields, and simply be themselves without the need to kow-tow to any religion's game rules.

I think you could do a good job testifying before congress and handling the self-deluded anger of congress critter bible thumpers.

A talent agent, owning your own agency.

You excell at finding outlets for creativity which other people might overlook; you've got that Italian arguing gene; you know EVERYONE, and you are unforgettable to anyone; and you're a magistra at social media and connecting folks who need to know each other to the people and places where they need to go.

So. Talent agent.

Of course, I came up with this one in that "wave the magic wand" thought process that you request. It's a long and challenging road to get there. You haven't even started your Associates yet, and here I have your ideal job requiring at least a Masters, and more likely a Doctorate. You could get there if you want, but there are plenty of wonderful places to stop along the way.

this wasn't actually asking for suggestions of what I may actually become, more to see what perceptions are. This branched off because one girl at work, who fancies herself a singer (not a bad voice but...), I told her that I could picture more as a mediator between people or an advertising concept designer...both were things she NEVER would have had in her scope, but were blatant to me with how she IS ( ... )

That's why it would be a great "wave the magic wand" case. That is my perception of what I perceive your ideal job to be.

You absolutely should not decide to spend all that time in school at this point. And never let your school keep you from exploring some of those other paths. One of the really great things about school, is all the new paths that are opened up.

But you also shouldn't decide NOT to spend that million years in school either. I was planning on taking the quick route to my BS when I first started, and being done with it. To tell the truth, I was questioning the decision through much of the first two quarters. Now I'm not sure I will ever finish. Even after getting my doctorate, I'll keep my eye on classes at the local colleges, and try to catch interesting ones.

Just go along and see what happens. The right classes might show up to help you achieve that job as a superhero costume designer.

I agree with Dave in regards to seeing you as a PhD level researcher. You have the brain and the drive. But, I think you'd end up being more of a sexologist (like Kinsey) with specializations in gender identity and alternative sexual expressions, and you'd moonlight as a dance therapist.

David, sorry! My brother's name is David and I'm so used to calling him Dave, it's sort of a reflex. :)
