Since my last update, I've received another bill for $1600 from the actual facility  where I had the surgery, another for $300 for the anethesia, and I had to replace my altenator, which was another $300. So that's about what? $6000 in debt? yeah..that sounds fun.  I went to see my doctor today. Everything is fine, but the one incision on my pelvis was getting all itchy, which is a good thing (it means it's healing!), but I kept scratching it. I haven't scratched it at all today, but because I did a few days ago, it isn't healing as quickly as it should. So until that heals up some more, I'm not allowed to ( Read more... )

Just wanted to write a quick little note to tell everyone that I'm recovering quite well. They were able to save the ovary, but they did find out that it was endometriosis. It's okay though.. I'm just glad I still have my ovary.

My surgery is set for August 17th...at 6am!! Luckily for me I should be sleeping a lot after the surgery.

Oh yeah...I'm finally 23!!! WOOT!!!! Although to be completely fair, I wasn't born til 9:01am, so I still technically have quite a few hours to go.

Yes, I'm having surgery. The cyst was actually bigger than I thought, cuz I thought it was only around 5cm. It's actually 8.5cm, which is bigger than the ovary itself. My cyst may or may not have burst. I don't know yet. All I do know is that I'm in a whole lot of pain right now. I would be going to see my OBGYN, but he, nor any other doctor, was in the building. I finally went to get my ultra-sound..the one that I was supposed to have a month ago. The good news is that it didn't get bigger, however it didn't shrink either, so it's still consuming my entire left ovary. So my ACEN kind of sucked. I woke up Friday morning with the start of a cold, but I figured I can handle for the most part. I've gone to ACEN with a cold before, so it didn't really matter to me.
