Time to go college-searching. I decided that it would be for the best that, yeah, I do transfer. Well, for now, at least. Considering I made that decision in just a day. I still have to research, visit, apply, get in.....

My current plan. Go to school in South Jersey, preferably west. Since it's still far from home, but actually rather close to ( Read more... )

Good luck with negotiating the Physics grade...I'm sorry if Hell Week contributed to lab-missing. I really really hope you can work that out, I'm sure something can be done. Bryn Mawr is tiny enough to be flexible. I certainly found that out this semester with needing a thesis extension and all.

If you're going to transfer anywhere in Jersey, TCNJ is probably the strongest academically aside from Princeton or certain programs at Rutgers e.g. women's studies and Africana studies. I have no idea if TCNJ would be trans-friendly...the folks I know who went there from my HS were all straight, cis, and moderate-conservative politically.

In terms of staying within reach of Bryn Mawr, I chose Rutgers in part because I can still visit everyone at BMC via train. (Driving from TCNJ or Stockton or wherever would be even easier.)

good luck!

Thanks. I'm going to try.

This is their queer group, though they have the HRC logo on the front page, so I'm a bit cautious.... at any rate, I don't think I want to be as "out" as I am here. It's exhausting, y'know? *shrug* Just as long as I can avoid harrassment, etc, I'm all right.

Yeah, my friend who lives in South Jersey visits home all the time, so I figure it's pretty easy.

Again, thanks.

Aww, we'd all be sad to see you go, but if you think it's for the best... Just make sure you do all your research first! :b You need to find an awesome school to match your awesomeness.

I'll be coming to Rosenstern tomorrow. ^_^ Looking forward to it!

no no, no leaving :( and I don't want you having to cry :( please. I love you and want to do my best for you. I can be somewhat insensitive and dense at time, so knock my head and let me know what I can do for you!

It's an issue of paying for it, more than anything. (Plus wanting a co-ed school, of course.)

there are so many good colleges around PA if you want to stay close. SO MANY GOOD ONES.

Is it that bad? I mean, I'm from North Jersey, so it's not like I'm not used to it. (Hence why I'm looking in NJ, 'cause the in-state tuition is cheaper...)

I'm currently looking at TCNJ, Rider U, and Rowan U, though I haven't thoroughly researched them yet, etc, those are just names at this point. *shrug*

TCNJ isn't bad..My mom taught at Rider for awhile and she strongly urges people against it. Rowan is okay I guess...but it would be weird because you'd be going to school with everyone from my high school.

Yeah, I have some friends at TCNJ, the other two are backups, pretty much. Thanks.
