It's in Silver Spring, kind of near the Silver Spring and Greenbelt Metro stations (Red and Green lines, respectively. I, of course, work on the Blue and Orange lines). December Drive, near 495 and Route 29. There was some initial debate because I don't adore ( Read more... )

I didn't want to be the one to tell you this, Luca, but your Mommy's a whackjob.

And when you're living in Maryland, maybe you can come visit.

Mommys are very weird.

She won't let me eat the flowers, either.

Tell Audrey I say Hi!

Flylady.net has a "control" journal for packing and a system for crash cleaning. Go take a look, maybe it will help. And lots of loud music I find helps and an additional bottle of wine helps, too. (It's that second bottle that doesn't do much.)

First, pack bags or boxes with clothes & essentials for several days - anything that you will be needing before you unpack. Put these in the bathtub so they are out of your way

The first part of packing tends to go pretty easily - when you can look at a room, and quickly sort stuff into categories (books, dvds, dresser drawers) and just do a grab and toss into an open box. Crank up the music and get this part over with quick. While you are doing this, make sure you have set up in each room a couple of assembled, medium-sized boxes labeled BBOC (Big Box O'Crap). Anything that you come across that doesn't fit well into any large category and isn't fragile gets tossed into the BBOC - you'll sort it out when you unpack ( ... )

Yet more advice. icewolf010 February 22 2006, 17:39:36 UTC
Dump it.

Dump it all.

Well, maybe not all, but don't be afraid to toss or donate stuff you haven't used/read/eaten in a year. I look back at all the crap Tor and I moved from NY to MD and I could cry. *roll eyes*

Useless advice having been given, I'm all yours as of 3 o'clock on the first. (I'd be there earlier, but my job has this weird requirement for actually showing up. :)

Now, why does *that* sound familiar?

Oh, yeah. Because I remember Dogs Life *gack* standing out in the rain because certain tech guys cross-wired everything.

*grin* and you have the theater degree.

Tell Sam Carter I say "hi."
