So, I have the best friends in all of explored space--Sunday, torberg, icewolf010, and reportergirlkes schlepped all the way to my apartment (at least an hour each way for each of them), then helped me pack and clean and make lists and generally restore my sanity. As of yesterday, my father is on the kidney transplant list!!!
Whoot! I'm so relieved over this I can't tell you--there had been a huge question over whether or not he'd even make it onto the list, but apparently that's been resolved. Yay!

Things I learned over the weekend
1. Gravity sucks. I was most egregiously felled by that stupid law on Friday night, as I was carrying groceries into the house, stepped into a well-nigh invisible (and shallow) hole in the backyard, and sprained my ankle.
