Afterword Two

Hello again. I'm sorry to return like a... well, like a bad penny, but I have some information I must share with you. People have been wonderfully generous about sending things in, and I have two that I feel I ought to share with you now. ( Afterword Two )

It strikes me as weirdly coincidental that (as your Dayton-area informant pointed out) one of the University of Dayton's most famous past students is Don Movello, who has devoted a large part of his career to impersonating other people, partly in the form of written correspondence. I don't suppose it matters much either way, but it does seem possible that the name Movello may have inspired msscribe's choice of the name Novello. (Which, I gather, was your informant's reason for including the info about Movello.)

Anyway, thanks for the second Afterword. The truth is golden.

Whoops, I switched the Movello's and Novello's in the previous post. Please read one for the other!

The truth is golden, but attention to spelling is pretty important too, I guess.

As an interesting footnote, the Boston Globe reported today on a far more amateurish incident of sockpuppetry.

I'm sending the article's author a link to the beginning of this story.
