[The atmosphere of the party is very lovely, and Megumi is glad that Sarah-san is having such a celebration, surrounded by her friends. It is always good to cherish each and every moment with loved ones, and to see all of them gathered to make Sarah-san's birthday a special one is a wonderful thing. Megumi herself cannot linger long, but she had to come and see her friend on her birthday.]

[And thus, she approaches Sarah-san, a small gift in hand--a kanzashi made of silk, formed to create a lovely flower to wear in one's hair.]

Oh, nothing yet! I had to see you before I partook of the feast, after all!

[She hands the delicately wrapped box to the younger girl. It is wrapped in beautiful red Japanese paper, as is traditional for celebrations in their culture.]

I picked this out because I know it would look stunning on you! Have a look!

[Gently, Sarah unwraps the box, keeping the paper as intact as possible, wanting to add it to her scrapbook later. Once she reaches inside, she gasps softly as she pulls out the loveliest jewelled hairpin - it is stunning, and she can't wait to try it on.]

Oh, Megumi, this is so beautiful!

[Without waiting to hunt down a mirror, she pulls her hair slightly back, tucking the hairpin in her thick, dark hair]

You'll have to fix it if I've done it horribly wrong, but apart from that - how does it look? Does it suit me?

[She strikes a little pose, folding her hands demurely and smiling softly]

[Sarah grins, as much from the reminder(it's true, Princess Rue is a princess) as from Rue's statement that she's a princess, too. She accepts the elegantly wrapped box, opening it carefully, and gasping when she sees the lovely necklace inside.]
