“I keep thinking this must be how Seth feels having you.” What a killer line.
"She loves his half smiles. She has missed them these last months." This update is amazing. You make us understand Kirsten, her love for Ryan, her stupid but in character reluctance with Ryan and her jealousy. This is the best Kirsten POV.
Whereas I'm so happy that Ryan has the Hart's back in his life, it's so sad that he is just now feeling what it's like to be "Seth".

Canon Kirsten slayed me for four years. Sandy became Ryan's dad, but I always felt Kirsten hesitate and hold back. Damn the writers, anyway. They never let her be the mother to Ryan she could so easily have been...

Kirsten is jealous, and she should be......she didn't realize how much she cared for Ryan until someone else arrived and showed her how it's done.

(You know, I'm still haunted by your story about the bank robbery, which highlights how the Cohens will never love Ryan like they do Seth and now Sophie, too.) It's absolutely true, but it still makes me so very, very sad...

I'm so torn between feeling sorry for Kirsten and happy for Ryan. It's so great that he actually starts believing that someone cares deeply for him (and that he even compares Megan/Ryan to Kirsten/Seth) - but at the same time I wish these someones would be the Cohens. I really like the Harts and I love that they make Ryan happy, but I love the Cohens even more and hope that Kirsten can finally overcome her reserved-ness (is that a word?) and make it clear how much she loves Ryan.

Beautiful, powerful, amazing chapter!
