Funny. I always thought poseurs were people who put up fake identities to mask who they really are. As Wyclef reminds us, Everybody wear the masks, but how long will they last?...

For some reason folks think that cause I'm a white kid who's into hip-hop, this makes me a poser. But beneath this facade you'll find... I'm a white kid who's into hip-hop. Dig deeper, and that's largely what you'll continue to get.

Then there are the ones who mask their whiny-ass need for attention and general médiocrité under a thin identity of threatened violence, shallow cruelty, anti-social tendencies and not-all-that-very-funny sarcasm.
