On Twilight

I honestly have no desire to watch or read any masturbatory self-indulgent adolescent fantasy-fulfillment vampire teenybopper melodrama. It's like fricken Dracula meets The Babysitter's Club. It is to the vampire genre what Jar Jar Binks is to Star Wars.

But he's BEAUTIFUL! and he SPARKLES!

I actually went to see it when it was in the theaters over here, because I wanted to know what all the teenyboppers were on about. When will I ever learn?

I loved this movie on the grounds that's it an over-romanticized teenage girl flick, certainly not because of it's take on vampire mythos, which I find absolutely retarded. That said, I thought the main characters had brilliant chemistry and the whole story was intriguing. The books are fantastic... total YA drivel, but fantastic YA drivel.

My blu-ray of it should be coming tonight and I look forward to watching it again.

Well, you could take the word "vampire" out of my first sentence and let it stand on its own, which would still eliminate Twilight from my must read/must see lists solely on the basis of it being YA drivel. Being a woman, however, you are permitted to SQUEE on the basis that it is exactly what I said it is. I pity Adrian, however, for your purchase.... ;)
