most awesome French toast ever

I just concocted this with stuff leftover in my kitchen, and seriously, it's so good you won't even need syrup. (Although I did have a small dollop just on principle.)

You might want to leave out the rum if you're making it for the kids, or bake the toast a bit longer to cook it all off. It's not super strong but I definitely have a bit of a buzz on. ;)

That looks faboo! I had french toast and bacon today too, though sadly rumless. ("Sadly rumless" sounded in my mind like all two-word phrases starting with "sadly" - like Beaker was saying it.)

How do you make your bacon? I've taken to baking mine and will never go back to frying.

I fry it a little bit so that the edges are crispy and then I put it in the oven to finish--pretty much exactly as I did with the French toast. But maybe I will try straight-up baking next time.
